Our purpose

Ready for the worst day

Frontline Readiness Training Group (FRTG) helps schools, clinics, faith communities, and small businesses in Pierce, King, and Thurston counties get ready for the worst day, so they can handle it with confidence and keep it from happening where possible.

Who we are

Working professionals who have answered the call

We are a team of working professionals from law enforcement, the military, and the fire service. We have responded to emergencies ourselves, and we teach what we have seen work. Our training is practical and calm. We do not use fear or graphic imagery. We are here to build capable, confident people.

Our backgrounds include law enforcement, the military, and the fire service.

How we teach

Practical training that respects your time

Short and focused

Our core classes run one hour, with a two-hour hands-on option.

Prepared before you arrive

We send a short prep sheet and videos ahead of time, so class time goes to practice instead of lecture.

Built around your building

We tailor examples to your setting, whether that is a classroom, a clinic, a sanctuary, or a front office.

Education you can use

We are clear about what a class is and is not. Our training is education, not a certification, and we say so up front.

Why we do this

A few prepared people change the first minutes

We have seen how much a few prepared people can change the first minutes of an emergency. Our mission is simple: put practical skills in the hands of the people who are already there, so they are not left waiting helplessly for help to arrive.
